After formalities, head for your helicopter, a Bell 505. Piloting a helicopter requires precise coordination of the 4 controls: collective, throttle, cyclic and rudder. Together with your instructor, you’ll take a close look at the helicopter’s mechanical complexity, which requires increased maintenance for safety. Once the crucial checks have been carried out, take the controls, start the turbine, and the rotor reaches 395 rpm for take-off. Your concentration is at an all-time high, but what a pleasure it is to fly a helicopter.
