The school run starts in Saanen. The students climb into the rafts, excited and ready to paddle. They were soon swept away by the Sarine. They enthusiastically make their way down to Les Moulins. They are constantly being jostled by whitewater.
Then the famous Gorges de Gérignoz appear. This passage is narrow and spectacular. The walls are getting tighter. The water accelerates, the waves deepen. The rafts are pitching. Students laugh and scream with adrenaline.
However, it’s important to stay focused. One obstacle follows another. The guides direct the crews with precision. Every stroke counts. Rocks roll by to the left and right of the rafts. Finally, after some intense moments, the river calms down.
The class arrives at Les Moulins, a little tired but happy. This descent will remain engraved in our memories. The beauty of the Gorges de Gérignoz and the adventure on the Sarine won over all the students.
In addition to rafting on the Sarine in Pays d’Enhaut, we offer other routes for class outings
In Valais, you can go rafting on the Rhône, Viège and Dranse de Bagnes rivers. Also on the Lütschine in the Bernese Oberland and on the Simme in the Simmental. The same applies to the Rhine in Graubünden between Ilanz and Reichenau.
If you prefer a more leisurely descent, choose Easy rafting, commonly known as Fun rafting. We offer 12 different Easy rafting routes on 5 rivers in the Bernese Oberland, Eastern Switzerland, Graubünden and Ticino.
