At Speck-Fehraltorf airfield you’ll be greeted by our instructor. First, he gives you a quick introduction to helicopter flight.
Then you’re off together to your helicopter on the tarmac. You will perform a technical inspection of the aircraft and check certain mechanical parts. Then you climb aboard and take the right-hand seat as pilot. The control tower gives you the go-ahead, and the rotor reaches the 520 rpm needed to hover. With your left hand you operate the general step up to take off. Then gently push the stick forward to gain horizontal speed and move forward.
