Your instructor and pilot welcomes you to our dropzone at Écuvillens airfield. First you do a few exercises to learn how to behave during the jump. Then we’ll give you protective goggles, a helmet and possibly a suit. It’s normal to be a little nervous. Your worries fade as soon as you enter the plane with your pilot. He has a few thousand jumps under his belt, and that’s reassuring. On the way up, admire the panoramic view of the Fribourg Pre-Alps. After about 20 minutes of ascent, it’s time for the big jump into the void. You approach the aircraft door. Your pilot performs a final check before propelling you out of the aircraft. You experience an impressive freefall of around 50 seconds, during which you get an adrenalin rush like no other. Then the pilot opens the parachute, and it’s ecstasy… You enjoy the rest of the flight without any stress, and land smoothly on the Écuvillens dropzone.
