After a theory lesson on helicopter flight, you and your instructor will join your helicopter on the tarmac. You’ll then be taken on a technical tour of the helicopter, where you’ll check a number of important parts. Everything’s in order and it’s time to climb aboard. You sit in the pilot’s seat with your instructor next to you. Then, once you’ve received clearance to take off, you activate the general step to your left to take off. The rotor must reach 530 rpm. to be able to take off. You are now hovering. Then push the control stick slightly to the right and gently depress the right rudder pedal. First, a short theory course given by your instructor. Then you head for the tarmac where your helicopter awaits. Secondly, you carry out a technical inspection of the helicopter, checking certain important mechanical parts. After this check, you settle into the pilot’s seat on the right. Your instructor sits in the left-hand seat. The control tower gives you take-off clearance. The rotor revs up to 530 rpm. Activate the general step on your left to take off. You are now hovering. Then push the control stick slightly to the left and gently depress the left rudder pedal. You make a 90-degree turn to the left on your vertical axis. Then you push the stick slightly forward to pick up speed. You’re on your way for an introductory flight at the controls of a Cabri G2.
